Date: Feb 17, 2009

Rochester, NY - Mossien Associates Architects, P.C. announces their contract with Roseland Hotel Development, LLC to build a 200-room nationally franchised hotel and conference center in Canandaigua, New York. This twenty-five million dollar project will create 135 new full and part-time jobs, with that number increasing to 165 during peak periods, and bring $6.5 million in revenue to Ontario County in the first full year of operation.

The proposed Canandaigua Conference Hotel is a seven-story structure designed to attract year-round conference business with 22,000 square foot state-of-the-art conference facilities on an 8.5 acre site. The hotel will offer exceptional accommodations to both business and leisure travelers with a full-service restaurant, lounge, and seating for up to 700 people for a convention venue. Project managers anticipate 41,500 visitor stays in the first full year, with associated payroll costs of approximately $2 million.

"These plans represent an exciting next step in our tourism product in Ontario County", said Valerie Knoblach, President of Finger Lakes Visitors Connection. "The Canandaigua conference hotel is the kind of smart growth that enriches Ontario County and the Finger Lakes Region. We've long been recognized as a leisure destination and these plans provide us another platform - business and conference travel to market our destination.

The conference hotel will be located adjacent to the Roseland Water Park and provide ample parking for at least 700 cars.
